This event featured, by some estimates, widespread desire of Xanax that was not fulfilled & an undesirable cache of morphine (mentioned throughout the night & even the next day with such frequency it seemed to “be everywhere”). Joseph’s public-speaking anxiety (& maybe anxiety in general) required 2 benzos, 1 painkiller, 1 amphetamine, ecstasy to assuage & probably no one really knows how he actually felt during the reading. Others that can be seen or heard in these videos include Ryan O’Connell (called out by Tao, or calling out Tao, mutually-uninhibited, for either unfollowing or following then unfollowing, or not following at the correct times, with a subplot involving Twitter’s “list” function, or something, in a manner that may have or may have not made sense at ~47min or ~52 of part 2), Brandon Scott Gorrell, Stephanie Georgopulos from Thought Catalog, this person from Vice, Maggie Lee. Chris Lavergne of Thought Catalog was seen walking past on the sidewalk after the event (in a coincidence, it seemed). He claimed to have been to a Cake—or band with name that sounds like “Cake”—concert either earlier that day, that night, or at some point recently & mentioned owing Tao money. Mallory Whitten was standing there & they hadn’t met & Chris said something to Mallory about bath salts possibly in reference to this (later in the night, around when Jordan Castro Tweeted a Mexican-related Tweet, Tao said to Jordan and Mallory “did one of you say you owed me money” & Mallory said it was Chris).
